CV Exec Support
If I hire you to write my CV, how will you gather my details?
In writing a CV, a personal telephone consultation is ideal, and will often be necessary at some point of the CV writing process. However, with e-mail often being the most convenient method of contact for busy professionals. We also make use of a fact-finding questionnaire which allows you to take the time you need to consider the questions we ask (this is not always needed).
Can I see an example CV before using your services?
Yes. Contact us and we’ll email you with a couple of examples. Please note; we do not work to set templates so, if you decide to use our services, your CV will not look the same as these examples.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. Once you’ve received your first draft, you can come back to us at any time, requesting changes / updates.
Once I order a CV, how long will it be before I receive it?
This depends on the service you use; we offer 3 and 5 day services. If you have a shorter deadline, please contact us and we’ll see if we can accommodate you – we will never sacrifice quality for expediency!
How will I receive my new executive CV?
We deliver all CVs by email – this allows you to print, save and edit the files easily – no files are password protected. If needed, we can also deliver your CV by post on paper and CD – contact us for more details.
How many pages should an executive CV be?
Myth: A CV should be no more than 2 pages!
Fact: An executive CV should be only as long as it needs to showcase your breadth of experience, (relevant to the position you’re applying for). We advise against squeezing everything onto 1 / 2 pages just for the sake of it. On a daily basis, we see CVs which contain text using tiny, unreadable fonts, with little white space between each section. A CV should not only contain relevant content, but should also be visually appealing!
What should I take into consideration before becoming an interim executive?
- Are you a flexible, self-starter who can work independently and successfully build networks?
- Are you prepared / can you cope with the financial uncertainty? As an interim executive, you might not know when you are going to get your next assignment or when you are going to get your next income.
- Willing to accept often stressful business situations?
- Can you manage with periods of work inactivity? Alternatively, could you cope with concentrated periods of high work activity? Interim executives are often recruited to see a project through to completion – this often involves long hours, strict deadlines, etc.
